  • Vasectomized man, where the procedure of vasectomy reversal has failed.

There are various ways sperm can be retrieved through different procedures and are tailored to the couple specific needs.

PESA

The full form of PESA is Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration. In this procedure the doctor uses a needle to penetrate the scrotal skin and draws a small amount of sperm from the epididymis. However the Percutaneous testicular biopsy removes small cores of testis tissue.

MESA, TESE

This procedure is either performed through the skin or through a small opening in the skin about half inch in size and applying a micro surgical technique in a process known as a microscopic epidermal sperm aspiration known as MESA. The sperm is then gathered from the epidermis and into a rich sperm tube at the back of the testis. The Testicular Sperm Extraction known as TESE which involves removing small samples of testis tissue for processing and eventual extracting of the sperm. The Microscopic TESE is done under the most extreme cases of low sperm production.

These procedures do not require the patient to stay overnight at the hospital. The procedure can last only up to an hour. This is procedure is done at an outpatient surgery center through sometimes an office setting which is adequate. For the procedures, local anaesthesia, IV sedation or general anaesthesia is provided to take control of the pain during the procedure. After the procedure, the patient is able to return to normal work in a day or  resume to normal activities, but not too strenuous work. At our clinic we seek perfection.
